Today is an accomplished day for Silas and I.
we started "homeschooling" last Feb. with this book:
TODAY WE FINISHED DAY 50!!!!!!!!!!!
If I could figure out a way to attach balloons and confetti to this post, I TOTALLY would!
It has taken us so incredibly long to reach the halfway mark. I am so thankful to be teaching him how to read! It is so rewarding to know that I taught someone something important.
that being said,
I CANNOT WAIT TO BE DONE WITH THIS BOOK!
I was hoping to have finished this book by the time the early summer months come (because I am NOT planning on a set homeschooling schedule during the summer), but I guess we'll just take a little longer than usual, and maybe have to do a few lessons at the river!
His first "perfect w"
See it? On the top right corner!
I think we might have to take a week off to celebrate! maybe learn about what "half way" means, or the number 50.
Maybe just by having ice cream and a beach day.

Little man, your mama loves you so.
Homeschool book review:
This book is probably not something I will do for Lauren. It says that it is geared toward "the intelligent 3 year old, or average 4 year old."As we have gotten further into the book, it has become "too long for my dreamy but genius-almost five year old". We have edited a couple of days because it was too much time for him to sit still. The book says that it is supposed to be approx 15 min. per lesson, but a few times, it has ended up being 45 min.
Way to go Silas. That is a PERFECT "W" and I am so proud of you.
